If there’s one other area that Loewe excels in (aside from the gorgeous bags, SLGs and RTW), shoes would definitely rank high on the list of must-haves. Now, you are already familiar with styles like the Ballet Runner and Flow Runner from the Spanish luxury house, but today’s focus is all about the Anagram Flap Sneaker. A brand new style that has officially launched as part of Loewe’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection, read on to find out more.
There’s something about the vulcanised rubber sole which immediately brings a little old-school nostalgia to mind. Even the ribbed toe cap is a subtle touch that keeps the Anagram-embroidered upper from looking way over-the-top, and Jonathan Anderson has also added calfskin trimmings and contrasting laces to give the sneakers a fully cohesive look.
As its name suggests, the Anagram Flap Sneaker is designed with a unique flap panel in front, seemingly covering the area where typical criss-cross laces would have been placed if it were a conventional pair of sneakers. Instead, this is given the Loewe twist, an additional design element that’s extra refreshing to boot. These new versions in Anagram jacquard will come in colours like Avocado Green and Navy, both of which are now available at SGD950 each.
Sizes run from 35 to 41, so most of you can get in on a pair, and you can find them over at Loewe’s e-commerce store right now. Selected pieces can also be found at Casa Loewe in ION Orchard and Loewe Marina Bay Sands, though you should give them a call before heading down to avoid disappointment.
