Hermès has been a longtime collaborator with Apple, creating numerous accessories like mobile cases for the iPhone as well as the Apple Watch which is continuously updated together with new device releases every year. Now, Hermès’ creations go beyond leather bands and exclusive nylon woven straps for the Apple Watch, as the duo even has a co-branded device known as Apple Watch Hermès (just flip over to the back to find an added ‘Hermès’ logo). This year sees the return of the all-new Series 7, and you will be pleased to find them retailing at both Apple stores and Hermès boutiques very soon.
But before delving into the Apple Watch Hermès proper, here’s a quick overview of what you can expect for the new Series 7 watch. The most important update would be the ‘full screen’, giving you the largest and most technologically advanced display ever created to date. It also has an ‘always-on’ mode, so your time (along with other screen features) will be able to stay in full view all day long.
Design-wise, you can expect a smoother look and feel, with a discreet wraparound effect creating a harmonious combination between the case and display. Durability is also key with the Series 7, thanks to the 50% thicker crystal that gives it extra strength while staying more resistant to cracks with a flat base.
The Apple Watch Hermès Series 7 will be available in several different options, starting with the Single Tour Jumping (from SGD1719) in colours like Lime and Orange. There’s also a full leather Single Tour (from SGD1749) version which will come in 6 colours, while the Double Tour Attelage (from SGD1979) is perfect for those who love a looped bracelet.
And if you love all-things Barenia, you’re in for a treat with the Gourmette Double Tour (SGD2499) in Fauve, a truly spectacular design featuring Hermès’ signature chain detailing all over the lush leather strap.
Keen to get your hands (quite literally) on one? Just head over to Apple and Hermès’ e-commerce store where the Apple Watch Hermès Series 7 in the 41 mm and 45 mm size is available for pre-order right now. Alternatively, you can view them in-stores from 15 October 2021 if you don’t mind waiting and trying them on at the same time.
