Alexander McQueen has always been at the forefront of luxury sneakers, charming all with its Oversized Sneaker identified by its chunky elevated sole and thick laces for a dramatic look. More recently, they have dived into a brand new style known as the Tread Slick, introducing lace-up options as well as a mid-cut boot, which are all perfect for the season.

Just like its predecessor, the Tread Slick features oversized soles in thick rubber that’s built for daily wear, but you could say it is even more exaggerated and pronounced than the former. And as far as options go, you can go for the ones in a cotton canvas upper if you prefer a casual look, or you can always opt for the 100% calf leather if you fancy something extra special.

There’s even a slick-looking (no pun intended) pair decked out in bead embroidery, mini crystals, sequins and silver bullion thread, forming a nature-inspired pattern all over the sides.

Now, to make one for the history books, Alexander McQueen invited 6 photographers all over the world to showcase their creative take on the Tread Slick in an environment that speaks to them on a personal level. Katie Burnett and William Waterworth took on a monochrome style, while Malick Bodian and Max Farago shot them in the outdoors amongst rocks and various landscapes. Others like Charlie Gates and Gwen Trannoy decided to work in a studio setting, playing around with textures for a dreamy look.

And once you’re done admiring the pictures, head over to Alexander McQueen to take your pick on the one you love. Prices range between SGD950 and SGD2405 depending on the finish/style you decide on. But if you prefer seeing (and trying) them on in person, their boutiques are located at ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
