Rimowa Unveils An Aluminium Version Of The Personal Crossbody Bag

Rimowa has recently revealed a new version of its Personal Crossbody bag, and you will immediately recognise that it now comes in aluminium rather than the polycarbonate material which was launched late last year. The grooved aluminium is known for its ability to withstand daily wear (it is, after all, the base material for its signature suitcases), so you can count on the sturdy hardshell exterior to keep your daily essentials safe and secure at all times.

To open the bag, simply flip the buttons of the strap and you will find a full-grained Italian leather interior with 2 open compartments that’s almost like the inner workings of a large continental wallet. There’s also a zipped pocket in the middle along with 3 slots that will save you the need of bringing out an extra cardholder or coin purse, which also means you can use this bag as a wallet of sorts. Each Personal Crossbody will also be sold together with a shoulder strap (tan leather for the one in silver and black leather for black anodised aluminium), giving you additional options of carrying the bag across the body or over the shoulder for that hands-free look.

Other subtle elements include the custom D-ring hardware at the sides which can be flattened down whenever you intend on using the Personal as a clutch bag (sans strap), proving that Rimowa continues to have a keen eye for details till this very day. Of course, it also helps that the aluminium shell gives the bag a sleek and polished look even from afar, finished with an extra coating for that extra shine.

Retailing for SGD2150 each, the Personal Crossbody in both colours are now available at Rimowa boutiques in Mandarin Gallery, Marina Bay Sands and Raffles Hotel, so you can hop on down and try them on at your convenience today.
