Perfumer Frederic Malle and his namesake perfume house, Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, allow some of the greatest noses to publish their own creations, and are no stranger to fragrance aficionados. Its eclectic range of perfumes with diverse personalities have become signature identities for many, and there’s lots to look forward to with its latest creation, Synthetic Jungle.
The chypre EDP where nature is reinvented is composed by perfumer Anne Flipo, the nose behind hits such as Giorgio Armani’s Acqua di Gioia, Jo Malone London’s Basil & Neroli and YSL Beauté’s Libre, just to name a few. For her first-ever Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle creation, she shares the olfactory dream of her love for nature that resonates with this symphony of greens.
An ode to cult perfumes of the 1970s, the bright and lush juice is every bit modern and lets you journey into a vibrant, surrealist jungle with a richly evocative green and floral cocktail. It opens with a vegetal jolt of opulent basil, galbanum, and black currant, which leads to a bouquet heart of hyacinth, lily of the valley, jasmine and ylang ylang that serve to amplify. The dry down warms up charmingly with oakmoss and patchouli for a contemporary touch, an idealised portrait of a jungle, perfect for those who want to bring nature just a tad closer with a truly unique olfactory experience.
Priced at SGD127 for 10 ml, SGD331 for 30 ml, SGD443 for 50 ml, and SGD633 for 100 ml, the Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle EDP is now available at Escentials and via its online store.
