At the heart of Dior’s Avenue Montaigne flagship, legend has it that a mysterious Diorama dessert was among the favourites of Christian Dior. The cake was said to contain a harmonious combination of juicy orange-glazed vanilla pods with bitter chocolate, but no recipe was ever found. And as a tribute to this gourmet obsession, the Vanilla Diorama EDP was created.

Part of the house’s La Collection Privée range of fragrances which encapsulates the brand’s history and its unique aesthetic, the genderless scent, composed by Dior perfume-creator François Demachy, captures the essence of the eponymous dessert and is a warm and joyful ode to vanilla. Simultaneously rich and light, warm and fresh, the perfume evokes a world of comforting aromas that your senses will surely adore.

Spicy, woody and sweet, the charming fragrance is heightened with welcoming citrus notes, shards of orange and lemon, and crackling pink peppercorn. Its heart of smooth cocoa, spicy cardamon and hint of bitter rum make way for an enveloping base of creamy sandalwood and binding patchouli that bring out the heady beauty and seductive sweetness of the focus, bourbon vanilla.

While no one today has tasted the mysterious Diorama cake, a spritz of the new juice will give you a hint of what you’re missing. Priced at SGD155 for 40 ml, SGD350 for 125 ml and SGD500 for 250 ml, the new Vanilla Diorama EDP will be exclusively available at La Collection Privée Christian Dior boutique at ION Orchard from 1 August 2021.
