Louis Vuitton Valisette Tresor: Is It A Bag Or A Trunk?

Possibly one of the more under-the-radar designs that you never knew existed at Louis Vuitton, the Valisette Tresor is a curious work of art, for sure. Some of you might call it a handbag while others prefer referring to it as a hard-sided trunk, but you can definitely say that it’s a unique (and not to mention, gorgeous) combination of the two. Part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2021 collection, the Valisette Tresor will be arriving in-stores from July 2021, which gives you ample time to ponder a little longer before deciding if this is the one for you.

Shaped after the iconic Coffret Trésor, the Valisette Tresor measures 24 cm wide and 15 cm high, opening to reveal two roomy compartments separated by a zipped pocket right in the middle. Meant to hold so much more than precious jewellery and trinkets, this charming number can also be worn as a handbag, thanks to the VVN top handle and extra shoulder strap that can be easily attached to the sides. Various items like your cardholder, compact wallet and beauty essentials can all fit perfectly within, making it a solid companion for the everyday.

Complete with reinforced corners, studded lozines and the S-Lock with an accompanying key (no, lightweight it is definitely not), the Valisette Tresor contains all the characteristics of a hard-sided trunk at Louis Vuitton, which also explains the higher-than-average price point of SGD11,700, though you cannot deny it’s the perfect piece to add to your ever-growing Louis Vuitton collection today if you ever craved a true standout bag.
