Goyard: Revisiting The Classic Monte-Carlo Mini & Varenne Long Wallet

There’s definitely more to Goyard than the well-loved Saint Louis, as the French bag maker continues to introduce new bags and SLGs over the years. Some of them might have fallen off your radar, so there’s no better time than than now to revisit this beautiful duo. Meet the Monte-Carlo Mini (left) and the Varenne Long Wallet (right), both of which are newish styles modelled after the original classics that have been refreshed with subtle changes.

First up, the Monte-Carlo Mini is inspired by the handheld clutch of the same name, only this time it’s shrunken down to miniature proportions that will fit your essentials. Having your smartphone kept within your bag is an important factor for most of you, so this streamlined alternative fitted with a foldover flap makes perfect sense if you need to do just that.

The Varenne Long Wallet, on the other hand, is a fuss-free SLG fashioned with 10 card slots, a zipped pocket in the middle, along with ample space for cash and receipts. The snap button closure is easy to use as well, making it as functional as it gets.

Both styles are available at Singapore’s standalone Goyard boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, coming in both classic colours and special hues. The Monte-Carlo Mini is priced between SGD1130 and SGD1410, while the Varenne Long Wallet is a tad more at SGD1380 and SGD1730.
