Well, Chanel Beauty has got you covered with its latest Lipscanner app. The brand’s first colour scanner is a new generation app for the lips, one that uses AI technology to instantaneously find a Chanel lipstick that matches your colour desires, all based on the shades of the visual that inspired you.

All you need to do is scan an image of the colour you love, or upload a picture from your library, and the app will match it to a lipstick from Chanel’s range of 400 lip products across its 5 colour families (natural, pink, orange, red and plum) and in the most suitable texture (gloss, shine, metallic, satin or matte).

And for all those who miss trying on makeup in stores due to safety measures, you’ll be glad to know that the app allows you to try the lipstick on virtually, all while taking skin tone and lip shape into consideration. You can even take a selfie with your new found lipstick for an all new makeup experience.

Ready to uncover your perfect lip colour and dress up your smile endlessly? The Lipscanner app by Chanel will be available on the Apple App Store from 4 May 2021.
