While Chanel might technically classify them as SLGs (or ‘small leather goods’, for those not in the know), there is truly nothing small about their runaway success since the first miniature bag was launched some seasons back. And with everyone downsizing their purses in this day and age, these smaller-than-small sizes actually make sense, especially for those who are especially brutal when it comes to editing what they actually need for a quick day out. Small as they look, there’s actually ample space for a lipstick (some even come with a dedicated slot for that), a key or two and other small essentials like mints to keep you fresh all day long. And if you don’t mind your cash folded with a minimal number of cards, yes, those will fit too. 

And because a quick refresher is always appreciated, here are some of #CHANELSpringSummer‘s smallest bags, with the tiny top handle (SGD2550) easily one of the season’s hottest favourites. Measuring 12 cm wide and 11.5 cm high (from base to handle) that makes it the tiniest piece in the collection, it also comes in Black, Pink and Silver besides the one in White you see above. 

The next two are known as the ‘classic vanity with chain’, both rendered in Chanel’s signature Caviar leather with gold-tone CC logos detailing the front. The shorter one (SGD2370) is perfectly sized to hold a bottle of your favourite perfume, while the taller one (SGD2520) is well-equipped to fit your #iPhone12ProMax with extra space for cards and cash. 

Moving on to the squarish ‘OG’ version that returns with a camellia bow (SGD2710) for the season. Don’t be fooled by the 11 cm by 8.5 cm size, because it can fit quite a good deal of items (tried and tested, of course) comfortably within. The last and newest design is the perfectly round vanity that comes with a long chain (SGD2350), stamped with the CC logo embossed on the bag’s lid. The medallion chain feature on the zip pull is a lovely touch, adding an extra element of surprise to an otherwise simple-looking black leather bag.
