Louis Vuitton #LVSS21 Utility Crossbody

This was one of the hottest bags that everyone talked about after Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2021 runway presentation, and it isn’t difficult to see why. For one, the new #LVSS21 Utility Crossbody comes in a great size, measuring 18 cm wide and 11 cm high, with a roomy 10 cm base that’s more than enough to keep a range of personals from your favourite SLG(s) to a portable charger, as well as a small bottle of perfume and some makeup essentials.

And if that’s not enough, you can always slot several knick-knacks within the ‘boxy’ zipped pockets in front, or over at the sliding coin purse located on the jacquard strap. In other words, it ticks all the right boxes of a modern-day Louis Vuitton handbag, and you can even call it a worthy successor to the coveted MPA which was released several seasons back.

The Utility Crossbody is also versatile to boot, thanks to several elements like the top handle which will allow you to carry it like a clutch, and the new-and-improved strap which is slightly wider and thicker than the classic line-up of straps LV currently stocks.

There are currently 2 versions to look out for. One comes in Monogram Canvas with natural cowhide trims and a cream-coloured jacquard strap, while the second is made from full calfskin leather with a matching black jacquard strap. Both options are priced at SGD4050 each, with both being lightweight bags that are built for the everyday.

Need to see it up-close? Well, you can always visit one of the 3 Louis Vuitton boutiques across Singapore (ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre) to have a closer look. A fan of the MPA? Well, you will definitely fall in love with the Utility Crossbody as well. You just need to decide which makes more sense for you. To pay just over 4K for a coated-canvas bag? Or the same amount for a full leather one…
