There’s no stopping Hermès from introducing brand new sandals, but comparisons will always be made with the classic (and iconic) Oran time and again. Take its latest Camelia Sandal, for example, a strong contender that features the standard slip-on style, except this pair is finished with more detailing in place of the usual H right in front.
The Chaine d’Ancre motif sets the tone right in the middle, surrounded by cool gladiator-like straps all around the top and sides. You can definitely say that the Camelia Sandal has a different silhouette that’s unique and refreshing all at once, and the fact that it gives added reinforcement means that it just might keep you comfortable whenever you’re out and about with this pair.
Priced at SGD960 each, here’s that all-important question again. Could it be next Oran? Only time will tell, but with colours like Beige Doré, Blanc, Noir and the bi-coloured Rouge Corazon/Bois De Santal, you might be better off heading down to try them out before deciding if they are truly worthy.
