The iconic double ring-and-bar design has become synonymous with the house of Gucci, appearing everywhere on Princetown loafers and mules, as well as an entire category of vintage-inspired handbags known as the Gucci 1955 Horsebit. What started as a simple (but chic) flap bag design has now grown into a wider category that encompasses bucket bags, top handle styles and even oversized totes, making it a rising classic sitting alongside familiar favourites like the Dionysus and GG Marmont.
Most recently (and part of the new #GucciEpilogue collection), Gucci has a new camera case-inspired bag for the Gucci 1955 Horsebit line, one that comes in a semi-structured body that’s perfect for the everyday. The top zip closure makes it easier to reach for your contents, and the roomy suede-like interior is spacious enough to store your mobile phone, a large continental wallet and other various bits and bobs. But if you do need more space, there’s also the front flap pocket, perfect for you to tuck (and hide) several essentials beneath that double ring-and-bar Horsebit logo.
Measuring some 22.5 cm wide and 17 cm high, the Gucci Horsebit 1955 Small Shoulder Bag will be available in a mix of GG Supreme/leather (SGD1890) in Beige/Ebony/Brown and Beige/Ebony/White, as well as full leather versions (SGD2230) in black, brown or white.
