Chanel quietly unveiled its Spring-Summer 2021 Pre-Collection online, with a wide array of handbags and SLGs that will be shared in greater detail in the days and weeks to come. The collection that sits in-between #CHANELCruise and #CHANELSpringSummer, it often takes inspiration from both seasons, an extension of everything Cruise 2021, as well as a preview of the upcoming S/S21 collection. Of sorts.

To be launched in Singapore come end-January 2021, leading the pack would be these 5 SLGs that all come in raffia/jute thread, a fun and unique material that’s not for everyone. What’s great about the use of raffia/jute thread is the fact that your SLGs are much lighter and priced a tad lower than the full leather pieces, though some of them do come with leather bottoms.

All presented in bi-colour combinations like Black/Beige, Blue/Beige and Red/Beige, one of the fun pieces includes the AirPods Case (SGD1430). And yes, the chain can also be removed if you prefer using the case on its own, with the interior lined in leather.

You can imagine the Belt Bag (SGD2100) as a cardholder with chain, as the SLG will be able to fit cash, credit cards, receipts and the like. The chain is also adjustable to several lengths, which is an added bonus. The next three are all classified as Vanity With Chain SLGs, though they all come in different sizes depending on your needs. The Small Vanity With Chain (Red/Beige, SGD2020) returns in the same 11 cm by 8.5 cm size, and you can find a small fabric loop on the side that’s perfect for holding a single lipstick/lip balm.

The bigger Vanity with Chain (Black/Beige, SGD2190) is slightly longer at 17 cm by 9.5 cm, and you will find 3 extra cards slots that’s always useful. The last would be the vertical Vanity Phone Holder With Chain (SGD2100), the vertical format is now reworked in a newer style that’s much taller at 18 cm by 10.5 cm, so you can fit your #iPhone12ProMax along with other essentials comfortably within.
