Bottega Veneta might have gone under the radar after wiping out its social media accounts lately, but it doesn’t change the fact that the Italian luxury brand is still much sought after. Under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, Bottega Veneta has grown to be synonymous with the concept of buttery soft leather handbags, evident in cult favourite bags like the Padded Cassette and the Pouch, just to name a few. Today, the brand has pressed on with an all-new shape for Pre-Spring 2021, the semi-structured satchel simply referred to as The Clip.

No prizes for guessing what the namesake refers to, but the clip in question is the perfect V on the front of the bag (V for Veneta, of course), the bag’s chic metallic fastening that elevates the simple-looking square-shaped shoulder bag. The other plus about The Clip would be the buttery soft leather, of course, and you will find a mix of box calfskin on the outside and smooth lambskin on the inside, giving you a truly tactile combination that looks (and feels) good.

While the bag comes in a pretty compact size that measures 23 cm wide and 21 cm high, it has a roomy base (9 cm) which will ensure that you can fit plenty of essentials within. The Clip (SGD4370) has a pretty well-compartmentalised interior, as well as the main section that comes fitted with a zipped pocket within. You can opt to remove the leather strap and hold it like a clutch or leave it on to get the perfect leather crossbody look that sits nicely on the hip. Fresh and exciting colours like Almond, Fondant, Grape and Racing Green await you, and there’s bound to be one (or two) that catches your eye for sure.
