Gucci: Italian Luxury Giant To Launch Capsule With The North Face

You were teased with the flag several weeks back (you have to admit that it was pretty exhilarating seeing Gucci’s green-red-green web lined up perfectly with The North Face’s logo), but now it’s time for you to view most everything in the collection. Gucci announced its official collaboration with The North Face earlier this week, and you can look forward to a beautiful cross-category collection that’s primarily built for the outdoors. The San Francisco-based brand was founded based on the premise of exploration and travel, so you can expect to find accessories like sleeping bags and tents that will get you all geared up for the great outdoors, along with numerous puffy jackets decorated with the special The North Face x Gucci logo patch.

Other unexpected pieces would be the leather hiking boots and cotton short-sleeved tees that pretty much work well for the everyday, along with a slew of bright-coloured knitted beanies that look extra comfy to boot. Don’t miss out on the bags as well, as most of them are created from ECONYL®, a specialised fabric upcycled from materials such as carpets, fishnets and other scraps. This affirms Gucci’s commitment in decreasing its carbon footprint, and it’s ideal for the collection because ECONYL® is water-resistant and perfectly suited for all your adventures outdoors.

A key print in the collection was adapted from The North Face’s materials library, featuring a graphic floral motif in colours like pink/green that pays homage to the ‘70s era, this time juxtaposed with The North Face x Gucci logo to give it a modern and refreshing touch all at once. These exclusive prints will appear on two new backpacks and belt bags, so you know what to do if you’re a collector of Gucci’s limited-edition capsules. Stay tuned for the official launch date as the The North Face x Gucci collection will make its debut in China, followed by Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York and Shanghai, before landing on the sunny shores of Singapore. In other words, more updates to come.
