Amongst all the Dior handbags available today, the iconic #DiorSaddle is still considered one of the earliest designs of the house, sitting right behind the beloved Lady Dior, no less. Interestingly, the bag has managed to retain its cult status over the years, especially after its recent revival, which is truly commendable for a style that turned 20 in 2020.

Featuring a sculpted upper flap that sits perfectly under the arm, it keeps winning the fans over with its unique shape, easy wearability and the additional option to add a longer shoulder sling. The perennial favourite is none other than the #DiorOblique jacquard canvas (SGD4700) that comes in Blue, Brown and Burgundy, for now, measuring some 25.5 cm wide by 20 cm high.

Next up are the full-leather variations which span across a wide variety of offerings like grained calfskin, shiny goatskin and smooth calfskin (all priced at SGD4700 each as well), depending on which finish you prefer. Some like their leathers to be resistant to scratches so grained calfskin will be the obvious choice, while others prefer a completely smooth surface with an added sheen (shiny calfskin) to it. The colours you can look forward to include Black, Cloud Blue, Dark Denim and Scarlet Red, which will vary depending on your choice of leather.

The fourth leather option would be ultra-matte calfskin, priced a tad higher at SGD5100 because it comes with tonal metallic hardware. This is currently available in Black, Indian Red, Indigo Blue and Latte, down to limited quantities at the respective Dior boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Now, some of you might long for something extra special, and that’s where the Saddle in embroidered velvet (SGD5900) comes in, or go for the Cruise 2021 ones that feature hand-painted (SGD6900) or pearl/sequin embroidered (SGD8200) Dior In Lights motif.
