#DiorMen has finally gone full swing with the first drop of its Spring 2021 collection in Singapore, now available at the boutiques located within ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands. There are plenty of brand new items to look forward to, including a new line-up known as #DiorOblique Galaxy that also happens to be the subject of today’s post.

Before delving into the #DiorOblique Galaxy Messenger Pouch proper, here’s a quick run-through of the contemporary new material. Creative Director Kim Jones chose to work with reflective materials this time around, lining it within the perforated #DiorOblique calfskin leather to create a hypnotic pattern that will shine under light. Subtle and discreet-looking print in the day, it comes alive at night for maximum effect with reflective elements taking centrestage.

For the perfect pairing of both form and function, you can look forward to the Messenger Pouch in #DiorOblique Galaxy. The pouch has been a hot favourite amongst men for several seasons now (mostly because it comes in a boxy silhouette that measures 17 cm by 12.5 cm), in a great size that looks best when slung across the body like a casual crossbody bag. It’s also equipped with two zippered compartments (one in front and another closer to the back), each housing several card slots and several patch pockets to keep everything neatly in place. The strap is also removable, giving you a third option of holding it by hand as a simple clutch.

Interestingly, Dior has only begun releasing full-leather versions of the Messenger Pouch in recent months, and this Spring 2021 design pushes the envelope even further, thanks to the #DiorOblique Galaxy. There’s just one colour for now, Black (SGD2400), with limited quantities available at #DiorMen boutiques locally. And while the original #DiorOblique canvas isn’t for every guy, there’s something about this new print that’s discreet enough without being too loud, especially if you want something Kim Jones/Dior.
