Dior Cruise 2021 #DiorZodiac Book Tote

Monsieur Christian Dior was a fervent believer of signs and superstition, especially the stars and lucky symbols (the four-leaf clover, two hearts, the magical number 8, etc.) which guided many decisions and design aspects at his luxury house. And it is these stars and signs that continue to lend inspiration to Dior’s RTW collections today, especially evident in the works of Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri. For Cruise 2021, Dior has charmed the fans once again with the all-new #DiorZodiac, a black-and-white motif that can be found on blankets, hooded anoraks and ponchos, as well as the beloved Book Tote decorated with the unique print front and back.

The bag will only be available in the original size, measuring 41.5 cm by 35 cm that makes it a great carryall for that weekend staycation. Much of the bag’s success lies in the fact that it comes with a pretty versatile silhouette, extendable up to 18 cm at the base for you to load up even more items within. The top handles can also be slung effortlessly over the shoulder, though the ideal way would be carrying it by hand or worn at the elbow.

The #DiorZodiac Book Tote features a mix of embroidered prints, with the front displaying the intricate floral motif and ‘Christian Dior’ signature running across the middle. As for the back (and sides), you will notice that it features a simpler astrological motif, providing visual interest all around that’s way different from the single-print designs like the Rosa Mutabilis and Toile de Jouy from seasons past.

This also explains why the #DiorZodiac Book Tote is priced slightly higher at SGD5000, but that’s not stopping the avid fans and collectors from lapping it up. Count yourself as one? Well, then you know what to do, especially with the Cruise 2021 collection (and of course, the #DiorZodiac Book Tote) now available across all Dior boutiques in Singapore.
