Saint Laurent Tuc Chain Bag

Saint Laurent’s Tuc range has been around for quite some time now, first appearing on a series of clutch bags and iPad sleeves back in 2013. Today, the French luxury brand’s Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello has brought it back on a smashing new silhouette, called the Tuc Chain Bag which features the signature push-lock closure right in front.

Measuring 25 cm wide and 18 cm high, the bag comes in a single size that’s great for carrying from day to night. It does not come with unnecessary embellishments, neither does it have a wonky top handle that might get in the way when you’re carrying it over the shoulder. All you have is a sleek-looking bag crafted from Saint Laurent’s luscious Box leather, armed with a slinky bronze-toned chain which offers two lengths for your choosing. Keep it long (44 cm drop length) and you’ve got yourself a chic bag that will sit nicely at the hips, or have the strap folded to a 25 cm drop length to wear it comfortably under the arm. Alternatively, you can just use the bag as it is, holding it like a clutch while keeping the chains hanging down from the sides.

The Tuc Chain Bag (SGD4090) is currently available online in two colours, Black and Ivory Natural. But if you wish to see it in person, then you’ve got to wait a tad bit longer as the collection has yet to arrive in Saint Laurent boutiques in Singapore. You might notice that the new bags such as the Solferino and Tuc all come in smooth leather and not quilted overstitching, so this might be a sign that Saint Laurent is moving away from the chevron-stitch and going for cleaner finishes moving forward. Which is good news for the fans who love a clean and sharp look for their handbags, especially with Box leather that will only look better over time with gradual wear and tear.
