Few brands can truly say that they have kept archival designs in their bag line-up till this very day, but it is something that Spanish luxury brand Loewe can proudly claim. Of all the bags available today, the Flamenco is one that has weathered the test of time, first launched back in the 1970s to resounding success and continuing to be updated year after year.

The Flamenco of today comes in the same buttery-soft leather crafted in the brand’s historic workshop in Madrid, and it even features the signature knotted ties at the side, elements that are also found in the original design which dates back to some five decades ago. That said, Jonathan Anderson (Creative Director of Loewe) has breathed new life into the Flamenco for Fall-Winter 2020, introducing a new size (and version) that’s simply known as the Mini Flamenco Clutch. Measuring 24 cm at its widest and 18 cm tall, this handy pouch opens via a discreet magnetic closure, and you can adjust the look further by cinching the sides together via the drawstring pulls.

Yes, Loewe calls it a clutch, but each bag also comes with a detachable shoulder strap, so you can still carry it across the body or over the shoulder. Aside from Black, Coral Pink and Deep Red featured above, the Mini Flamenco Clutch (SGD2400) also comes in Soft White, Vintage Khaki and Warm Desert, giving you a total of 6 different colours for consideration. In all honesty, the mini size is perfect for day (and night), so you can skip the bigger sizes and zoom in on these if you want something that’s fun yet functional.
