You can’t keep a good bag down, and when it’s noteworthy enough, it will even come back more improved than ever, which is the case with the new Petite Malle Souple that has launched exclusively for sale online first via LV Singapore.
Similar to the style that was launched in 2015, this one has even more bells and whistles to guarantee a second or third look, with elements taken from the Petite Malle, such as the boxy trunk-like shape and riveted leather corners, along with an extra leather luggage tag that pays homage to the brand’s spirit of travel.
But the best part about this all-new handbag would have to be its versatility because you can choose to carry it like a top-handle bag, or sling it by way of the adjustable jacquard strap (yes, the same thick and comfy strap found on the MPA) depending on your mood for the day. Louis Vuitton has also added a metallic gold chain, one that doubles up as a decorative element, or can be used as a shoulder sling when you choose to fold the top handle down and transform the Petite Malle Souple into a chic shoulder bag.

You can choose between Noir Electric (Black) and Peche (a richer pink in comparison to Rose Clair), both priced at SGD4050 and pre-launched now exclusively online. As for the size, there’s just one, for now, measuring 20 cm wide and 14.5 cm high that puts it relatively close to the original Petit Malle in PM. That said, this one comes with a roomier base of 7.5 cm, plus the supple nature of the bag also means that you can store way more than an average PM, so you can easily take this baby out with you from day to night.
There are also many ways for you to get creative with the Petite Malle Souple. You can change the look by switching the strap to the existing jacquard canvas versions that you currently own, or grab an extra full leather strap for a luxurious pairing. Which is also why this bag will do well for the French luxury house, especially when you factor in the versatility of it all in this new-and-improved style.
