When it comes to getting your hands on Louis Vuitton’s popular bags like miniature versions of the Speedy and the Vanity, sometimes you get lucky, other times you just need to wait a little more. The good news? The French luxury brand continues to introduce them in seasonal drops, such as the latest Fall-Winter 2020 collection which features the Speedy BB and Vanity BB in Monogram Ink.

Not to be confused with the Monogram Upside Down Ink from the men’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection, this brand-new material features Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram embossed on black lambskin leather, making for a luxurious alternative to the classic canvas versions you’re all too familiar with.

Both bags are relatively new in the Louis Vuitton family, especially the Speedy BB (SGD3550) which makes for the perfect in-between if you find the Nano Speedy and the Speedy 25 too small or too big. The size first appeared in the exclusive LVxLOL range, before appearing in the VVN natural leather version for Spring-Summer 2020. Measuring 17.5 cm by 14 cm, you can carry it by the double top handles, or with the removable braided leather strap (56 cm drop length) that comes with it so you can style it across the body.

As for the Vanity PM (SGD4150), you will find that it comes in a familiar silhouette that takes inspiration from the brand’s Nice family of accessories. Already having charmed the hearts of many, it is versatile enough to be used as a handbag, especially with the addition of the shoulder sling.

And yes, limited quantities can be found at Louis Vuitton boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre, so whether you’re going for the Speedy BB or Vanity PM, know that you are ultimately paying for timeless pieces in full leather that won’t go out of style anytime soon.
