Chanel Métiers d’Art 2020 Gabrielle Hobo Handbag

When Chanel first launched the Gabrielle during its Spring-Summer 2017 runway presentation, the reaction from the fans was wildly divisive. Some loved the fact that it was different and refreshing, a departure from everything that the French luxury brand had showcased in the previous years, while others were pretty confident that the Gabrielle was not the one for them. That, however, slowly changed over the seasons, as the bag won most of its detractors over with its wide variety of colours and materials over the years, as well as introducing minor tweaks in terms of the size.

So what’s new? The new Medium, which measures some 27 cm by 20 cm, putting in right in the middle between Small and Large that measure 20 cm by 15 cm and 28 cm by 21 cm respectively. And if you make a quick comparison, the current one is slightly smaller in terms of height and width in comparison to the original 2017 variation, which makes it more proportionate when slung across the body.

Designed to be a unisex offering, it also explains why the strap can be worn in numerous ways, whether you like it long, short or looped together, there are endless possibilities which give a different look each time you take it out for a spin.

Whether you like it as the classic in full black (SGD6670) or the contemporary variation in tweed (SGD6490), Chanel has got you covered with these gorgeous selections from Métiers d’Art 2020, with even more variants available at either boutique located within Marina Bay Sands or Takashimaya Shopping Centre. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it, but if you can make it even better, then why not, right?
