Swedish fragrance brand Byredo has always brought the unexpected. From its unique fragrance creations like Gypsy Water and Mojave Ghost to its move into leather goods and now, a soon-to-launch initiative, an unconventional makeup collection.

A collaboration between Byredo founder Ben Groham and makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, the insanely chic range is all about self-expression with products offering endless possibilities, from subtle to bold, depending on how you combine the colours. And that futuristic curvilinear packaging that you’ll be proud to display on your vanity inspired by ancient relics and gypsy artefacts. That aside, here’s what you can expect.

First up, the multipurpose Colour Sticks (SGD52) that are creamy and lightweight. They can be blended together and worn anywhere you want colour, like the eyes, lips or cheeks. Vanilla-scented, the universal product will be available in 16 shades with dewy, matte and shimmer finishes.

Next, essentials for the eyes that are designed for precision and performance. There’s the lash-lengthening mascara (SGD70) in Space Black that’s rose-scented, long-lasting and water resistant, and a liquid eyeliner (SGD62) in Technical Black with a humidity-resistant formula and high precision tip for clean, smudge-proof lines.

Lastly, the lipsticks (SGD70) that are served in silver-gold, bi-colour metal casings with pretty unforgettable names such as Dancehall Queen, Worship Her and Divorce. In 15 shades, with satin and matte formulas.

Following the initial launch, the brand will also drop 3 eyeshadow compacts (Sciomancer, Syren and Corporate Colours, SGD110 each) in early November 2020. And finally, housed in a distinctive metal raindrop compact that’s both ergonomic and glamourous are 5 pressed powders in 3 finishes, matte, metallic and ultra-glitter.

The Byredo Makeup collection will launch mid-October 2020 and will be exclusively available at its newly opened Byredo Boutique at B1-34 Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
