Moncler Genius: 7 Moncler Fragment + Converse Chuck 70

Move over Sacai x Nike, because the godfather of Tokyo’s streetwear, Hiroshi Fujiwara, will be launching his latest sneaker design in collaboration with Converse very soon. You can look forward to the familiar low-cut Converse Chuck 70, which has been masterfully transformed under the 7 Moncler Fragment line (part of the Moncler Genius collective), with the minimalistic design coming in two colourways. There’s Black paired with white contrasting stitching, as well as the clean White upper for the lovers of a plain-looking (but still super sharp) finish.

Take a closer look, and you will find the unique ‘coded text’ over on the midsole (a Fragment Design signature), which includes subtle information on the season and style, amongst others. Other elements like the Moncler and Fragment Design logos are found over at the heel tab and nowhere else, keeping it relatively simple and free from unnecessary embellishments and the like.

Now, with every ‘drop’ comes the important question on date and availability, so keep 1 September 2020 (that’s next Tuesday, by the way) free if you would like to get a pair, as the 7 Moncler Fragment + Converse Chuck 70 sneakers will be released at Moncler’s boutique in Marina Bay Sands (or online via Moncler). But you miss out on the first drop, then you can also try your luck at Converse Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Dover Street Market Singapore, Limited Edt and Pedder on Scotts, which will all be releasing their pairs from 3 September 2020. The best news? Both pairs will retail for SGD169.90 each, which in all honesty is a reasonable price, considering you’re getting a piece of Converse, Fragment and Moncler all in one sneaker.
