Louis Vuitton has always been at the forefront of personalisation; there’s the hot-stamping of initials on your SLGs and luggage tags (like the Keepall for example), as well as the Mon Monogram line that allows for the addition of meticulously hand-painted letters and stripes for a refreshing look. Recently, the French luxury house extended a new personalisation service known as the ‘My LV World Tour’, where you can pick from 5 to 10 graphic labels (the actual number depends on the bag), some of which are inspired by the private collection of Monsieur Gaston-Louis Vuitton.

The labels are categorised into five broad families, starting with Cities, then Grand Hotels, LV Heritage and LV Pop, with the fifth and final element known as Make It Your Own, where you can pick from 23 different labels and have your choice of initials (2 to 3 characters) added on.

Aside from bags like the Multi Pochette Accessoires, you can now also customise the Alma BB to your heart’s content but you have to head down to your nearest Louis Vuitton boutique to create your very own. There are 3 steps in this process, starting with your choice of trimming/lining. You can have it in the classic Natural Cowhide/Brown lining (shown above), or go for the contemporary duo of Black Cowhide/Rouge Flamme lining. Once you’ve decided on the colour combination, you can pick a total of 6 labels: 3 in front, and another 3 at the back.

The ‘My LV World Tour’ program is pretty fuss-free and straightforward, and it can only be done at the boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre for now. Prices start from SGD2480 for the Alma BB, and the entire process will take several weeks to complete before you can get your hands on a personalised bag that’s wholly yours.
