Hermès has unveiled this year’s limited-edition design for its Terre d’Hermès fragrance line, one of the French luxury houses’ most iconic perfume ranges for men. Designed by German designer Tilman Bartl, the new offerings are illustrated with a stylised bird’s-eye view of earth, which serves as a ‘dialogue between man and earth’ and gives wearers a taste of the earthy opulence to come.

Besides dressing the collectible bottles, which you’ll be glad to know are refillable, in a visual depicting multiple plots of land to symbolise the different ingredients used to create the emblematic scent, the landscape is also embossed on the outer box to invite one to touch and feel the vibration of this universal element.

You’ll find the 2020 limited-edition design on 3 olfactory signatures of Terre d’Hermès: the Eau De Toilette (SGD188 for 100 ml), Eau Intense Vétiver (SGD199 for 100 ml) and Parfum (SGD203 for 75 ml). While the EDT is dry and spicy, revealing strength and traces of the earth with notes of cedar, flint and grapefruit, the Parfum is warm and sensual with notes of cedar combined with the softness of benzoin and the sparkle of shiso. There’s also Eau Intense Vétiver that joined the range in 2018, which is more vegetal and peppery, with a cocktail of green bergamot, Sichuan pepper and vetiver lending it a unisex appeal.
