Here’s a little heads up for the fans of all-things Chanel, because the super-popular Mini Vanity and Classic Box will be making a glorious return in the coming weeks. But it won’t be sitting on the shelves for long, judging by how quickly the earlier interpretations of these beauties were snapped up earlier this year. Both bags (or rather, SLGs) first made an appearance at Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2020 line-up, crafted from grained Caviar calfskin leather and came in colours like Dark Pink and Navy Blue.
For the upcoming Métiers d’Art 2020 collection, both the Mini Vanity and Classic Box will come in smooth and supple lambskin, and only leather of exceptional quality makes the cut at Chanel. It also undergoes several tests (for climate conditions, dyeing, friction and tensile strength) before appearing on some of your favourite Chanel bags and SLGs, just like the ones featured in today’s post.
Aside from a change in material, both designs will now come with a metallic bar at the top, a feature that’s commonly found in Chanel’s Trendy bag range. Also, the gold-tone ring loops are slightly larger in the updated version, making it easier for you to slide the leather-interlaced chains up and down when in use.
That said, the size remains the same, measuring 11 cm by 8.5 cm for the Mini Vanity (SGD2600) and 17 cm by 9.5 cm for the Classic Box (SGD3080), with colours like Black and Pale Pink featured online. Which doesn’t mean there won’t be more colours at the boutiques, you’ll just have to head down stat to find out more. But a quick reminder, do it soon because like the first batch of tiny wonders from Chanel, these will disappear the moment they hit the shelves here.
