Celine Mini Vertical Cabas

It comes as no surprise that mini bags are slowly (but surely) stealing the thunder from bigger-sized handbags and totes. There’s also a rising trend amongst the luxury brands in creating ‘mini duplicates’ of significantly larger designs, narrowed down to smaller proportions that are equal parts fun and functional. Case in point? Celine’s newish Mini Vertical Cabas, one that comes with the exact boxy silhouette as seen on the larger Vertical Cabas that’s finished with two top handles. This charming new size also comes with an extra shoulder strap, allowing you to wear it conveniently over the shoulder or across the body.

Measuring 21 cm by 17 cm, the Mini Vertical Cabas (SGD1700) will come in two options, the first of which features tan leather handles that complement the Triomphe Canvas to perfection, as well as a second version with cotton canvas and natural calfskin trimmings that’s priced slightly higher at SGD1800. For a handy bag priced under the SGD2000 mark, the Mini Vertical Cabas is an excellent option for the everyday, especially when it is comfortably sized to hold several essentials comfortably within.

But if you’re all about bigger-is-better (and there’s nothing wrong with that), you can always opt for sizes like the Small Vertical Cabas (priced from SGD1950) and Medium Vertical Cabas (priced from SGD2150), both of which are made available in an array of materials and colours for your consideration. The Triomphe Canvas version comes with leather handles (and straps) in colours like Black, Deep Blue and Green, as well as an assortment of brighter and bolder designs like floral jacquard and Maillon Triomphe canvas, all of which are now available at Celine boutiques in Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Torn between the Mini or the larger sizes? Why not get both? Use the Mini when you’re heading out for short trips around town, and switch to the Small or Medium when you need a larger tote for the office (a laptop-friendly design) or days when you need extra space for a couple more essentials.
