Ladies, the Metropolis is officially back with a bang, launching as part of Furla’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection that will be arriving in boutiques from 23 June 2020. In total, there are four different silhouettes to keep an eye out for, all made from a new calf leather material furnished with reinforced stitching at the edges.

The revamped range is affectionately known as the Metropolis Monochrome, coming in tone-on-tone colours. In other words, Furla’s signature ABS closure clasp will now match the colour of the leather bag itself. This makes the Metropolis Monochrome a great alternative for ladies who prefer the new closure system that scores extra points in terms of maintenance (less prone to scratches), along with the fact that there are all-new colours and designs to choose from as well.

Of the four, two models will come in the familiar rectangular shape, starting with the Metropolis Mini Crossbody (SGD590) that’s as classic as it gets. Measuring 16.5 cm wide and 7.5 cm high, it will come in 5 colours comprising Ballerina, Bluette, Girasole, Nero and Orange, all finished with a simple gold-tone chain. For something a little smaller that’s just as cute, you can opt for the Mini Vertical Crossbody (SGD375), one that’s slightly taller and slimmer at 17 cm by 11 cm.

The next two models feature a rounded base, a design element that’s introduced for the very first time in the Metropolis range. Both bags are bigger than their rectangular counterparts, making it great for days when you need to carry more around. The Metropolis Mini Crossbody Round (SGD590) is anything but mini, standing at 20 cm by 16 cm that could very well be your new best friend for the everyday, while the Metropolis S Top Handle Round (SGD695) is the biggest of them all, measuring 23 cm by 18.5 cm that makes for a great work bag as well.
