Longchamp Le Pliage LGP PVC Top Handle

When Longchamp creates an item that’s fun, they make sure it carries a certain degree of function rather than merely being a piece that’s purely just cute. Take this Nano Le Pliage, for example, an 8.5 cm by 7.5 cm number which comes with its very own carabiner clasp and strap, allowing you to hang it on your bigger bags or wear it like a chic necklace, going beyond the notions of being a tiny miniature bag that serves little to no function. And today the spotlight shines on Longchamp’s latest foray into PVC bags, the Le Pliage LGP (shown above) which comes printed with the brand’s monogram on the body.

It’s a statement-maker for sure, one that’s way different from the existing line-up of Le Pliage bags. It’s also see-through but not quite, with the LGP monogram in a graphic text print that’s not entirely transparent, in other words, providing some security from prying eyes.

Aside from the fact that it comes in a lightweight PVC body, the bag is furnished with Longchamp’s signature leather elements, which can be found on the handles, flap and strap in an interesting mixture of blue and red that’s perhaps a nod to the brand’s Parisian roots. There will be two sizes to keep an eye out for, the Mini (SGD370) which measures 17 cm by 14 cm and comes with a short strap, as well as Small (SGD625) that’s wider and taller at 25 cm by 23 cm. Not only is the Small significantly bigger in terms of size, but the removable shoulder strap it comes with is long enough for you to sling across the body or over the shoulder.

Do note that the Mini is currently available exclusively at Takashimaya Department Store, while the Small can be found across all 4 boutiques islandwide. Which will it be for you?
