So what goes into the creation of one of the world’s most opulent skincare products? For one, there is a newly added Skin-Empowering Illuminating complex, the highest potency used in any Clé de Peau Beauté product, which maximises skin’s intelligence (where skin distinguishes good and bad stimuli) and enhances its ability to repair and defend itself from various stressors. It also now contains CeraFerment Extract, a yeast component, which enhances skin’s ability to regenerate and strengthen from within.

Though it is brimming with over 60 carefully curated ingredients, it boasts a luxurious texture that is super smooth and rich, but not heavy or sticky. This is thanks to a rigorous mixing technique, which combines meticulous hand blending and advanced technology, with more than 100 steps carried out over a span of 3 days.

And to reflect the radiance the cream amplifies, it is served in a jewel-like jar with 72 facets that reflects light from all angles. The luxe pot also comes with a tray and spatula, inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, to complete the skincare experience.

The technique? The best time to use the cream is at night when skin’s intelligence is least active. While many have been using it straight after a serum, the best results are yielded when it is used as the last step of a skincare routine, after moisturiser.
