Fendi Spring-Summer 2020 Strap You

A good strap, be it canvas or leather, can add a whole twist to your existing bag and it’s a fact. That’s because after first eyeing the bag handing off your shoulder, the next time people will be looking at would be the strap, whether it came with the bag originally, or something you added on to give it new life.

And if there’s just one brand that you can count on providing a multitude of interchangeable strap options for your bag, Fendi would be it. It all began back in Spring-Summer 2016 when Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi introduced a thicker-than-average shoulder strap that was attached to bags like the Dotcom and the Peekaboo as they came down the runway. They were meant to be fun (but very much functional) and gave a bright pop of colour and contrast with options that came embellished with floral appliqués and studs, along with exotic skins like python.

Over time, they began to form an entire segment on its own over at Fendi, known as the Strap You, which offered you a whole new way of personalising your bag. Today, the straps come in various sizes and lengths, with the Mini Strap You that’s perfect for smaller bags like the Mon Tresor, as well as adjustable versions that will allow you to sling your bag long across the body for that fun casual look.

For Spring-Summer 2020, the Italian luxury brand has unveiled all-new straps which come in thick woven fabric, in eye-catching colours like Green/Pink, Pink/Green and Yellow/Orange, furnished with jacquard FENDI lettering running down the middle. Not only is it a statement-making piece, the straps are also big on comfort and function (it can be adjusted easily by sliding up and down), and comes in two sizes for you to consider from.

Priced at SGD1250 or SGD1300 depending on the thickness, all 3 colours are currently available at all Fendi boutiques in Singapore (ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre).
