Moynat Cabotin & Réjane 23 Constellation

With less than a month before Christmas, you can expect your favourite brands to start unveiling their seasonal offerings that will definitely come with extra sparkle and shine that’s absolutely perfect for the ‘most wonderful time of the year’. And one of them includes Moynat, who has created two new bags under the Constellation theme (think the galaxies and the stars) that are only available in limited quantities for the holiday season.

The first design is no stranger to you. Yes, meet the Cabotin, a geometrical wonder from every angle, from the perfectly curved front flap down to the symmetrical top handle, rounded edges and double metallic locks that’s all-in-all inspired by Moynat’s vintage Malle Anglaise (or English trunks). Today, the 25 cm by 15.5 cm city bag is perfectly sized to hold a great deal of essentials, and makes for a fun and and casual-looking piece when it’s slung effortlessly across the body.

The second would be the Réjane, which has its origins over a hundred years ago when it was launched in 1903 and named after the French actress Gabrielle Réjane. Most recently, Moynat introduced the Réjane in size 23, one that’s an in-between size from the BB and PM and measures approximately 23 cm by 16.5 cm. It’s an elegant bag that’s great for daytime or evening, considering it comes in a sleek and polished profile that will work well with any outfit.

The star (no pun intended) of both bags lies in the thicker-than-usual shoulder strap, which has been carefully embellished with palladium metal studs all around to emulate the stars in our galaxy, also explaining why both bags come with an extra Constellation tag. While the Cabotin Constellation (SGD6700) in Fog has yet to arrive in boutiques, you can take a look at the Réjane 23 Constellation (SGD9000) now, one that’s currently available in Black box calf leather, at both Moynat boutiques in Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Sparkle and shine.
