If you’re pretty much on the fence about Gucci’s latest #Gucci1955Horsebit bag for the very fact that it comes in monogram coated canvas, the good news is that the Italian luxury brand has introduced full leather options for Cruise 2020 that’s perfect for the lovers of a minimal-looking piece. Each bag comes with a simple double ring and bar hardware right in front, one that’s officially referred to as the Horsebit that’s been part of Gucci’s DNA ever since it was introduced on the brand’s leather loafers back in 1953.
Apart from the gold-tone Horsebit and hardware elements on the sides and strap, the entire exterior is constructed from textured leather that’s given a slight vintage treatment. The version in White (pictured above) is particularly eye-catching, a piece that will work well with a casual white tee and jeans, or for days when you need a fuss-free accessory to pair with your over-the-top outfit. Apart from White, you will also be able to find the bag available in Black, Brown and Red, along with a Blue leather version that’s decorated with a blue-red-blue web detailing down the middle.
The #Gucci1955Horsebit Leather Bag comes in a single size for now, measuring 25 cm by 18 cm that’s the perfect size for her, furnished with a snap-button strap that makes it really easy to adjust the length, giving you options like carrying over the shoulder or across the body. Priced a tad higher than its canvas counterparts, the leather versions are now available in Singapore at SGD3390 each. Your best bet to find all five (including the Blue with web detailing) would be at the flagship boutique in Paragon Shopping Centre, but no one’s stopping you from heading down to Gucci’s boutiques at ION Orchard or Marina Bay Sands to have a look as well.
