It has been a while since a collaboration has been truly made for each other, and this one by MCM and A Bathing Ape is frankly genius. And here’s why. Both brands are renowned for their statement-making graphic prints and share similar design influences with notable contributions to pop culture over the years. MCM is one that prides itself on monogram-rich designs, founded at the height of Munich disco’s scene, while BAPE is a streetwear behemoth that was the perfect embodiment of 90s youth culture and Tokyo’s Harajuku style.

Together, the duo have come together with a collection that comprises RTW (tees are a BAPE signature, after all), along with a generous selection of accessories and slides. Key products in the collection include the signature camouflage Ape Head decorated with MCM logos all over, along with the iconic Shark and Camo motif that’s combined with MCM’s signature Visetos found on a selection of tees, track jackets and sweaters. The golden question on everyone’s mind?

What about bags? Well, MCM’s signature Backpack and Weekend Bag make a return with shark prints and cool patches done in true BAPE style.
