Hermès: 5 Things To Know When Shopping Online

If you missed the first post, you’re totally missing out because you can finally shop online at Hermès Singapore. No more walking into the boutique and feeling disappointed that the piece you want is unavailable. No more sneaking peeks through the windows to see if there’s a brand new bag (or SLG or accessory, for that matter) on display that might just tempt you into taking the plunge. And even no more wait lists for popular items that always get swept off the shelves the moment they land.

That’s right, folks, now in the comfort of your own home, you can just do a search of the piece you want online, and if it is there, bingo! Without further ado, here are 5 things you need to know.

01 – While you wouldn’t be able to find every single item that Hermès has to offer (sorry if you’re looking for the holy trinity of B, C and K), there’s a pretty good selection right now. Remember the O’Kelly Bracelet that was covered earlier this month? Well, that and a few popular designs like the Collier de Chien and Kelly Double Tour are now available online. Really.

02 – Over in the Bags department, there was a Lindy 26 (SGD10,900) that’s now gone. And so was the Herbag Zip 31 (from SGD3800) in several lovely hues. What you’ll find now? A couple of Aline Mini bags (SGD2700), a Garden Party 36 (SGD5400), a Halzan 31 (SGD8400) and so on. In other words, if you look hard enough, there are still gems to be found.

03 – There are sufficient options for men as well, so make sure you grab a couple of items for your boyfriend/hubby/partner while you’re at it. A new SLG would be great, like the Bearn Compact Wallet (SGD3400) or maybe the Citizen Twill Compact Wallet (SGD1300)? Looking for sandals or sneakers for him? Yup, they are also stocked online, you just need to decide on the style and know his size.

04 – Besides goodies for both him and her, you can pick up baby gifts, fragrances, scarves and silks. Pretty much the entire Hermès universe is at your fingertips. And if you are feeling extra extravagant and know exactly what you are looking for, you can even shop their fine jewellery and timepieces online now.

05 – Delivery will take 1 to 2 business days to reach you (it’s completely free, by the way), and your lovingly wrapped orange box will be handled and shipped by DHL Domestic Express. As of now, you can’t do an in-store collection, though that should soon be available in the weeks/months to come, so stay tuned for more information.
