If you find the new Ivy rather familiar-looking, that’s because it’s a silhouette taken from Louis Vuitton’s archives, only this time reinterpreted by Nicolas Ghesquière and introduced as part of the upcoming Cruise 2020 collection that will be available in boutiques come November. And if you’re wondering, yes, the Ivy comes in Monogram Legacy (something you’ve read about previously over here), which is essentially Monogram Canvas furnished with reddish-brown leather trimming, giving it a vintage feel that’s one of the key themes in the collection.

The bag opens via a single clasp right in front (similar to the one found on the Tambourin Bag) to a roomy interior that will hold a good day’s worth of essentials within. Available in a single size, the Ivy measures 23.5 cm at its widest and approximately 17 cm high, in a sleek trapezoid shape that’s a good-looker all around. Function-wise, you can choose to carry it via the top handle or attach the extra shoulder strap to sling it comfortably across the body.

The bad news? It isn’t available just yet, (no, not on Louis Vuitton Singapore’s e-commerce platform either), but you can always head down to the boutique and put yourself on the wait list for this SGD2780 bag.
