You won’t be able to find all-new sizes of Longchamp’s best-selling Le Pliage Cuir Top Handle bags as yet (there’s no word on an XS or XL for now), but they have been given a slight update in terms of material and utility that’s part of their Fall-Winter 2019 line-up. Right off the bat, the most obvious detail would be the leather. Previous versions came with a slight shine and sheen, while the latest options are slightly more matte. In addition, you can look forward to exciting new colours like Cloud, Melon, Powder Pink and Rust (pictured above), sitting alongside classic favourites like Black and Navy.
The other plus point? Gone are the thin leather straps, all of which are now replaced with thicker options that come with the LONGCHAMP logo stamped right in the middle. Folks who found the older version a tad uncomfortable after prolonged periods of use will be pleased to know that the straps are now twice as thick. Yes, this applies to all 3 sizes, S (37 cm by 23 cm), M (41 cm by 28 cm) and L (48 cm by 31 cm).
Function-wise, the bags retain the soft and lightweight characteristics of its predecessors, with the ability to be folded (keeping in tune with its origami-inspired design) and stored easily when not in use. Priced from SGD885 and up, you will be able to find these new versions available across Longchamp boutiques islandwide in Singapore.
