With Burberry’s Fall-Winter 2019 collection now available in Singapore, it is time to turn the spotlight onto two of their latest bags, one called Lola, the other the Title. Both created by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci for the British luxury house, they are as different as night and day, the first your relaxed shoulder sling that’s great for any day out, while the second is sleek yet structured, great for those looking for a work companion that looks (and works) great.

Yes, fans of streamlined silhouettes will be pleased with Title (from SGD2190), one that’s armed with a sleek top handle. Available in 3 different sizes (Small, Medium and Large), there’s truly something for everyone, whether you are on the hunt for a smaller handbag that’s great for the day out with the girls or a larger workhorse that will be able to store your A4 documents and tech gadgets. Choose from striking offerings like triple-panelled exteriors, or Bauhaus-inspired versions that come with suede panels and patent leather trims. Or you can always opt for the classic leather ones that come in Black, Bright Red and Honey.

Then there’s Lola, the shoulder sling that could be considered the less structured little sister of the TB Bag. Predominantly available in Italian-tanned lambskin with a quilted finish that’s a nod to Burberry’s distinctive check pattern, it comes in either Small or Medium. Need to grab-and-go? Try out the Small (23 cm by 13 cm), essentially a compact bag that will fit all your daily necessities. But if you do need extra space, then go for the Medium, which is wider and taller at 28 cm by 17 cm and will fit a tad bit more.

The plus point? The Lola is all about ease of wear, one that comes with a polished chain sling that’s perfect for wearing over the shoulder or across the body. In addition, the hardware is furnished with a magnetic closure, which makes getting in that much easier. Today, the Lola (from SGD2390) is available in numerous combinations, from single hues like Black, Bright Red, Camel, Green Forest and White, to colour-blocking ones in Bright Red/Orange and White/Black for those who love a statement-making piece. Lovers of graphic prints can look forward to a selection that features Burberry’s Horseferry-print on a coated cotton exterior, an edgy variation that comes in Black or Yellow.
