2018 marked the 50th anniversary of Van Cleef & Arpels’ iconic Alhambra collection, one that saw the launch of an all-new range of jewellery pieces which feature the intense reflections of guilloché yellow gold. In place of the carnelian, malachite or onyx hard stones you typically find within the beaded contour ‘clover’, these creations come with a guilloché surface (an age-old technique used by the Maison since the 1910s) which give volume to the Alhambra motif, highlighting the brilliance of yellow gold by way of the sunbeam-like lines etched on the surface of the metal.

This year, the collection is expanded even further with several designs paired with sparking diamonds and/or gold mother-of-pearl that’s selected for its warm tones, satiny surface and quality lustre according to the stringent quality criteria of luxury French jeweller. Joining the Vintage Alhambra family are 2 new jewellery pieces that feature alternating guilloché and diamond-paved motifs, found in a 20-motif long necklace and a 5-motif bracelet in yellow gold and diamonds which are the perfect addition to your ever-growing fine jewellery collection.

Lovers of artisanal timepieces will adore both pieces, one that comes with a lustrous combination of alternating motifs of guilloché gold and diamonds, giving a sparkling brilliance like no other. Step into the sun and you’re guaranteed a glow like no other, with the sunlight glinting on the gold that’s a sight to behold. Wear it everyday, or keep it just for special occasions, you just need to head down to your nearest Van Cleef & Arpels boutique to have a look for yourself.
