Saint Laurent Monogram Chain Wallet In Neon

It can get pretty confusing distinguishing the Monogram Chain Wallet from another Saint Laurent favourite (the Envelope Chain Wallet), but apart from the similarities like the YSL hardware logo, quilted overstitching and angular front flap, there are considerable differences between the two.

For one, the Envelope Chain Wallet comes with just 6 card slots, a zip coin pocket, and a compartment for bills and receipts. The chain shoulder strap it comes with has a drop length of 58 cm, but the downside is that it isn’t removable. In other words, it’s literally a compact WOC that will hold the absolute essentials.

Now, for those who want more, that’s where the Monogram Chain Wallet (shown above, SGD2140) comes in. It’s slightly wider and taller at 22.5 cm by 14 cm, with a roomy interior that will hold loads more. That includes 20 card slots for the lady (or guy) who owns a credit card with every bank in Singapore. There are also two roomy compartments separated by a central zippered coin pocket that will hold receipts and the like, with another 2 bill compartments on either side that’s great for keeping various currencies if you’re one to travel often.

The other plus point is that the chain shoulder strap is actually removable, so you can go ahead and use it like a wallet and keep it within your bigger everyday bags, or attach the strap and sling it across the body or over the shoulder. Now, the Monogram Chain Wallet is not exactly a new design at the house, but the trio of neon colours above are new-in for the current Fall-Winter 2019 season. It’s clear how popular the neon versions of the Monogram Bill Pouch are, considering they’re now sold out online, which could also mean that these will be gone in no time at all. Go.
