Kate Spade Small Dorie Bucket Bag

Kate Spade went full speed ahead when it tapped on Nicola Glass, who previously worked in the accessories department over at Gucci and Michael Kors, to head the 26-year-old brand. Not only did she establish Kate Spade New York’s first-ever runway show, she was also responsible for bringing the spade emblem back into the house, decorating numerous bags with a simple yet iconic logo that’s come to be synonymous with the NY-based fashion house.

And that’s not all. She also created a refreshing new silhouette at her debut runway show, a bag that’s known as the Dorie Bucket which came with unique interlocking cut-out patterns featuring the iconic spade in the perfect summer piece. In sizes like Medium and Large, it was great for daily use, but fans clamoured for more. Which is where the all-new Small version comes in, a handy size that measures 22 cm by 20 cm, but retains the very shape and silhouette of her bigger sisters.

You can choose to carry the bag as it is, or attach the removable drawstring pouch (secured with two snap buttons on the inside) if you need that extra bit of security. Lift the top handle and carry it like the perfect summer bucket you’ve always wanted, or simply hook on the shoulder strap (one that’s adjustable to 5 different lengths to cater to various heights) and sling it over the shoulder or across the body for a hands-free look.

With 6 different colour options like Black, Blazer Blue, Chartreuse, Hibiscus Tea, Hot Chilli and Sweet Pea, there’s a hue for everyone. Keen to try it on and find out more? The Dorie Small Bucket (SGD520) is now available across all Kate Spade boutiques across the island. Looking for something fun yet stylish? This one definitely comes with spades full.
