Gucci Tweed Jordaan Loafers

Not to be confused with your favourite Princetown Slippers, the Jordaan Loafers are in fact an entire range that stands (no pun intended) on its own, though it can get confusing distinguishing the two as they share a similar silhouette, down to the iconic gold-toned horse-bit logo on the upper that’s a regular fixture on Gucci’s shoes since 1953. The main difference between the two? The former are essentially a pair of casual slip-ons made for errands and such, while the Jordaan Loafers are great for days (or evenings) that call for a dressier look.

Though you might be familiar with the classic designs in GG Supreme canvas, Gucci has been introducing new variations season after season, such as the trio above which come in gorgeous tweed options. Lovers of soft pastel shades can opt for the Ivory or Light Pink versions, both of which come with a tone-on-tone leather trim for an elegant finish. The third pair features an all-new fabric known as GG Tweed, which comes in a combination of Black/White (essentially white GG print on a black tweed upper) that’s a new-in for the brand’s latest Fall-Winter 2019 collection.

Its slim and flattering shape is what makes the Jordaan Loafers a popular design till this very day, finished with a 0.5 inch heel to give you extra lift and height, as well as an instantly recognisable horse-bit detailing right in front. Priced at SGD1080 each, you will find these loafers now at all Gucci boutiques across the island.
