Before glowing skin was even in, Guerlain was already all about giving skin a lit-from-within radiance. In 1987, the French beauty brand created Météorites, loose powder in the form of multi-coloured pearls to infuse skin with luminosity. And the story goes, the handcrafted pearls have become an icon in its own right.

For starters, they aren’t just pretty to look at. Its subtle blend of different colours and finishes meld perfectly together to colour correct and naturally illuminate. The pearls are also formulated with a technology that transforms light invisible to the naked eye into an endless glow on the skin. And with the opening of each box, you’ll be greeted by the familiar violet fragrance that’s been with the Météorites since the very beginning.

There are four permanent shade offerings (1 Blan de Perles, 2 Clair, 3 Medium and 4 Dore) and then there are limited-edition creations like the latest Perles de Satin, which is part of the brand’s Summer 2019 collection.

Priced at SGD95, the Météorites Perles de Satin has two shimmering shades. Fuchsia to give skin a vibrant glow and orange for sun-kissed warmth. It also has beige and gold pearls to rid all hints of dullness with a golden beam. Apply a light veil all over to set makeup and naturally enhance skin’s aura or use on cheekbones to illuminate facial contours. And speaking from experience, one tub goes a long long way.
