Another day, another Chanel bag from their current Métiers d’Art 2019, but with a slight difference. Inspired by all things ancient Egypt, this Camera Case, as Chanel calls it, was perhaps influenced by the scarab beetle. Found on amulets and impression seals during the time of the pharaohs, you can somewhat see the resemblance in the pair of bags above, in grained metallic lambskin that’s finished with iridescent rainbow hardware.
Look closely and you’ll even see tiny scarabs on the zip pulls, one might add, the final ode to complete the bags. Priced from SGD7950, you’ll also find variations in tweed, all of which are now available locally at Chanel boutiques in Singapore.
