Dior has unveiled an all-new design that joins its bag lineup, a fully functional crossbody that encapsulates several signatures of the house. It’s essentially 3 zipped pockets joined together to form a chic crossbody bag, but before you go on about its similarities with another Parisian luxury brand’s design, there are several differences. Firstly, Dior’s version comes in its iconic #DiorSaddle shape, a silhouette which first made its debut at the Spring-Summer 2000 runway show and was recently revived by the house’s current Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Secondly, it comes in different exterior options like the blue #DiorOblique jacquard canvas that’s a signature at the house and one that’s instantly recognisable from afar, or a black calfskin version for those who prefer something more discreet. It also helps that the full leather piece comes in an embossed grained texture that helps it retain its structured shape, a finish that’s also resistant to scratches and daily wear.
Measuring 21 cm at its widest and 16 cm at its highest, the handy bag is great for ladies (or even men) who love organising and keeping everything neatly within separate compartments. One for your cardholder, another for your compact powder and lipstick, and the third for mints and candy, just because. Finished with a ‘C’ charm on one zip and a ‘D’ charm on the other, the Saddle Clutch is a truly versatile piece that comes attached with an elongated shoulder strap that’s adjustable to 7 different lengths. Priced at SGD1900 for the canvas version and SGD2250 for the one in the calfskin leather, they are now available at Dior boutiques islandwide.
