Hedi Slimane’s second show for the storied house, Celine, drew inspiration from the 70s, bringing with it tailored pieces like checked skirts and silk blouses that were the very definition of a chic French woman. It was definitively Celine (as in Celine before Céline) as well, but given Hedi’s signature twist with the addition of cool black aviators, slim jeans and a number of looks jazzed up with a glittery gold, it was, all-in-all, a rather cohesive collection for the modern woman of today.

While Fall-Winter collections will not arrive in stores till the second half of the year, Spring-Summer 2019 is pretty much in full swing. Celine has unveiled its RTW selections online for both him and her, as well as several new bag silhouettes such as this elongated Evening Clutch (SGD1950) that’s rendered in a smooth calfskin exterior.

Measuring 32.5 cm across and 12 cm high, the clutch opens to a single compartment that will fit quite a fair bit of essentials (just remember to stack them side by side due to its extreme width) and is available in either a Black or Red. Perfect for making a statement at night, the Evening Clutch is also available in a white python (SGD2950), one that’s pretty well-priced for an exotic piece. And no matter which one you decide on, they will go well with the new universe Hedi is building for the Celine woman.
