Burberry TB Monogram SLGs

There’s something interesting about Burberry’s brand new TB Monogram, one that actually grows on you the more you stare at it. Designed in collaboration with Peter Saville, one of Britain’s most glorified art directors and graphic designers, it was unveiled back in July 2018 by the luxury brand’s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci. Sure, the colourful pattern might appear on everything from printed scarves to the iconic Thomas Bear, but there’s also an added appeal when it’s rendered in a raised leather surface as seen in these 3 SLGs above.

For one, the raised surface provides additional grip, and the added texture as you run your fingers over it is fun. Two, the colour options it comes in like Black, Oxblood and Rose Beige are easy on the eye, and makes for the perfect accessory to add into your bigger bag, or be used individually on its own.

First up, take a look at the Monogram Leather Card Case (SGD550) which is made from Italian-tanned leather. Measuring 10 cm by 7 cm, it’s perfect for credit cards, which can be easily fitted within the 3 slip pockets on the interior. There’s also an additional press-stud compartment hidden behind the case, one that will fit your coins and keys, making it all-in-all a rather smart piece that’s great for those of you who don’t need to carry much out. The card case also comes in a detachable strap version (SGD770), with a long chain that will allow you to sling it easily over the shoulder or across the body.

The selection extends to a Monogram Leather Wallet With Detachable Strap that will fit a tad bit more, considering it comes in almost twice the size at 20.5 cm by 12 cm. Uncover the flap top by lifting the press-stud closure, and you will find 6 card slots and a zipped pocket, with the interior segregated into 3 compartments that will fit cash, receipts and the like.

Available at Burberry boutiques islandwide, or head over to Burberry’s e-store where your purchases will be shipped to your door free of charge within 2 to 4 working days.
